15th, ePayResources presents Protecting Seniors: The Hidden Threat of Financial
Exploitation, with guest speaker Missy Coyne, Learning and Development
Specialist from the National Insurance Crime Bureau.
Elder financial exploitation (EFE) is a crime that impacts
one of our most vulnerable groups of individuals. It’s important to know what
EFE is, who the victims are, and who the individuals, both known and unknown,
are that are committing these crimes. This course provides the learner with
insight into these individuals as well as the schemes and scams that are
perpetrated against one of our most vulnerable groups of individuals. We also
discuss what to look for to identify a potential victim and provide some
resources that could be beneficial to assist when encountering someone who is
being exploited financially.
